It seems the trick of the century (and common talk among my girlfriends lately) is the balance between dressing "professional" for work and still maintaining personal style. I, myself struggle with this fine balancing act and hope to provide some tips on the topic!
This morning I had an interview with a non-profit organization and here is what I wore!
I think incorporating color is a great way to maintain personal style without dressing an outfit down too much. Accessories are also a great easy option to make an outfit personal to your style and taste. Blazers are not a common item in my personal wardrobe, but I do have a few and they are certainly go-to pieces when I'm hoping to achieve a professional look. I often choose not to tuck in my top (shock!), which feels risky but works in combination with the structured blazer and slim pants. Despite popular belief, skinny pants can be incorporated into professional-ware if executed properly, like mixing with jackets or cardigans. Fabric is also key when searching for pants to fit work attire. The ones I am wearing are a stretchy polyester so they appear a bit thicker and also have a seam down the front which adds a more sophisticated and tailored look. Of course, wedges or heels always dress up a look and complete the outfit!

Good luck creating fun professional outfits for work that still display your personal style!!
My love,
Meredith
